Born out of a shared passion for forward thinking design and unrelenting innovation, this season, adidas Originals and Kawasaki join forces to celebrate the history and future of ZX with two unique takes on the ZX 8000 and ZX 5K BOOST silhouettes.
An icon that needs no introduction, Kawasaki has been at the forefront of the motorcycle manufacturing industry for decades.
In the 1980s, Japanese motorcycle maker Kawasaki surprised the world by sending out the sports bike series ZX Ninja, which later became a symbol of the brand. Adidas also launched the ZX500, the first model of the running shoes ZX series, in 1984 while pursuing speed and innovation. Through this collaboration, Adidas and Kawasaki drew inspiration from Kawasaki’s unique design and at the same time made two advanced sneakers by dedicating homage to ZX’s history. They are ZX8000 Kawasaki and ZX5K Boost Kawasaki.
