New Balance officially announces Joe Robinson, founder and creative director of Chicago based lifestyle brand, Joe Freshgoods, will be Creative Director of the company’s new campaign titled, “Conversations Amongst Us.” Together, the two will expand their collaborative relationship with a campaign honoring the Black community.
The “Conversations Amongst Us” campaign, which is helmed by Joe Freshgoods, was created to highlight conversations amongst the Black community while promoting new dialogue for all races through a new collection of products.
This campaign aims to show how people are bonded amongst the conversations they have with one another.
“This project is a bit different for me. It isn't just an apparel and footwear collection. It's a timestamp and a deep dive into the importance of communication and community. I wanted to approach this from a different lens from how brands usually celebrate and spotlight Black people. 'Conversations Amongst Us' isn't a marketing blurb, it's simply the truth.”
The product collection was designed and developed by a group of all-Black associates, many of whom are founding members of Black Soles, New Balance’s associate resource group that was formed to drive continuous progress toward diversity, equality and inclusion to ensure all voices are heard.
The collection will include a series of comfortable, vintage-inspired apparel and footwear including the 2002R, 550 as well as sweatshirts, t-shirts and a jogger.
