ADIDAS ORIGINALS x SEAN WOTHERSPOON SUPERSTAR SUPEREARTH

Initially announced to be launched exclusively in China, this adidas Originals x Sean Wotherspoon Superstar Superearth is set to release globally after receiving a massive request from the adidas fans.

Synchronising adidas and SW’s constant support on eco-friendly practices, this Superstar is made almost fully with materials sourced from waste from its outer design to the inner design.

Not only featuring the black synthetic leather upper that is crafted from 100% recycled polyester, the sockliner is made from leftover Ortholite material, with a cover made from cork, one of the most highly renewable and eco-friendly resources on the planet. Not to forget the outsole is predominantly comprised of natural rubber from trees, with 10% waste rubber content and 90% sustainably sourced natural rubber.

The multicolour embroidered florals complete with excess threads that nod to the Y-3 Super Position have become the shoes’ most iconic detail, specifically because they partly drag beyond the sole unit.

SUPEREARTH branding lands on the tongue tag, genuine cork sock liner, and heel tab, while a cartoon Earth character is overlaid atop the lace bed. Special emblems can be found on the tongue and heel of the shoe as a proclamation of the SUPEREARTH initiative as well. You can also find Sean Wotherspoon’s branding, the “SW” branding round out the pair.
