What is GIVE FRESH AIR all about?

Give Fresh Air is the vision by Nike for a more sustainable world and to future-proof our planet.

It all started in 2019, when Nike invited sneakerheads across North America to donate their shoes for a good cause during Air Max Day, in the goal of giving back to the community and helping to create a more sustainable environment.

This year, Nike is back at it once again, but with a far larger global scale. atmos KL is proud to be the supporter of the upcoming Give Fresh Air campaign

The original Air Max 1 was created to be at the forefront of innovation and design, all while giving a breath of fresh air (with its “Nike Air” Technology) to the usually boring running shoes. It was designed to be a sneaker that sparked the change in evolution with its innovation and technological advancements, and that is why Nike is harnessing the journey of the Air Max as a blueprint to improve the world.

Give Fresh Air is taking the ideas and what the Air Max 1 stands for to encourage change and to empower the next generation to future-proof the world together on Air Max Day and beyond. As giving fresh air is like giving brand new life to something, Atmos KL wants to Give Fresh Air back to our community in hopes that we can renew and refresh our world for a better future. Like the Air Max 1 itself, if you create something with thought and care, it will be able to sustain itself for generations to come.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

Atmos KL believes in a world that is supported by an amazing community to shape and redefine our future because when a community comes together to help spark change, amazing things can happen.

That is why, from 20th of March 2022 until the 25th of March 2022, Atmos KL wants to Give Fresh Air by encouraging you to donate your sneakers, whether they are slightly used shoes that still have life in them or shoes that can be used on daily basis, or better yet, bring in fresh new pairs that you are not using to Atmos in KLCC. An acrylic box will be provided in atmos KLCC branch to collect the donated shoes.

In conjunction of the Air Max Day which is going to happen on 26th March 2022, atmos Kuala Lumpur aims to reach a 326 pairs of shoes donated by the society.

Please bring shoes that you would be happy to receive personally, as any pairs that have excessive wear and tear, holes, rips, fraying, scuffs, stains, dirt, or defects will not be accepted. Your shoes will then be distributed by Atmos to the NGOs that were chosen, which is Yayasan Chow Kit.

ABOUT YAYASAN CHOW KIT

Yayasan Chow Kit is a 24-hour crisis and drop-in centre providing meals, activities, therapy, case management, ​and educational programmes for at-risk children and teenagers around Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. With two drop-in centres and a safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship, they aim to protect the rights of all at-risk children and youth, provide ​them with safe havens, and expose them to as many positive and holistic opportunities as possible to enable them to reach their full potential.

With your upcoming sneaker donations, your old sneakers will be given fresh air to bring renewed happiness to someone else and in turn, create a more sustainable world and redefine our future.atmos KL wants you to become a part of that change and do your part in creating a future-proof planet.
