ASICS X AFEW GEL-LYTE III OG “B.O.I.”

Following the successful release of the “Red Koi” and the “Orange Koi” comes another new chapter. Asics has come out with another Gel-LYTE III collaboration with Afew inspired by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy.

Introducing the latest collaboration between Asics and Afew, Gel-LYTE III OG"Beauty of Imperfection".

Inspired by the Japanese Philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, this upcoming Gel-LYTE III is known to be in "Polar Shade/Seagrass", where "Polar Shade" overtakes most of the suede construction across the upper, though "Seagrass" animates the iconic tiger stripes on the lateral profile.

Wabi-Sabi

Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese philosophical belief, conveying the message of beauty lies in imperfection.

Therefore, the sneaker features a number of "unrefined" or "imperfect" embellishments. This includes the wear-away Tiger stripes on the upper, which when worn will reveal a different color underneath.

The wraparound panel on the lower heel is painted pastel purple, while the isdewall logos boast allow for unique textures, developing the idea of "worn shoes".

Further details include the branding of AFEW and ASICS, appears on the "Seagrass"-hued denim patch onb the heels, while the GEL-equipped sole unit is decked in creamy-brown tones and is rounded out with a gum outsole.
