Back in 2015, the trend of dressing entirely in black or white, known as 'monotone,' was so prominent that it was featured not only on a global scale with famous rappers but also in fashion magazines. However, in recent times, there has been a shift towards Y2K fashion trends and an increased focus on diversity. As a result, fashion styles incorporating colors have become more noticeable. To revive the all-black trend, atmos proposes this work as ‘Back in Black’.

Drawing inspiration from basketball shoes of the 1980s, the BB550 is unified in black color, refreshing its familiar look with a street-style twist. Not simply combining black, but also using different materials for each part, creating a three-dimensional contrast. By incorporating white details such as the New Balance logo, 550 text, piping, and the included alternate laces, we express the modish street style of that era.

The 'N' mark on the side features a basketball texture, while the tongue incorporates rough mesh, serving as a design highlight that enhances the affinity with basketball. The key visual features the rapper 'Benjazzy’. With a transformation from a casual impression to a distinctive edge, this release showcases the unique atmosphere that is characteristic of atmos.
