VANS AND FTMD. PARTNERED TO RELEASE A NEW COLLECTION FOR VERSATILITY

Vans, the original action sports brand and advocate for creative expression, teamed up with Malaysia-based fashion brand Futuremade Studio for the first time to create a versatile and wearable collection that fits for everyday use by all people. Found by Tunway in 2013, FTMD. has become one of the most influencing outdoor and urban utility brands in Asia with its distinctive lifestyle and narratives.

For the Vans x FTMD. collection, two silhouettes have been remade to reflect FTMD.’s “Everyday Everybody” inspiration. The Sk8 Low is brought to our attention with an earthy, warm brown colour and a yellow sole that gives a flavour of an “aged” outlook. The Vans logo tag on the shoe tongue is made by chain stitch embroidery to highlight the character of FTMD. It also features blue foxing tape around the sole to give it some colour contrast.

The Half Cab is presented in light beige to provide a clean and fresh aesthetic. It also features the chain stitch embroidered Vans tag to echo the Sk8 Low, and both silhouettes highlight the embedded soles with the FTMD. logo. The core value of this collection is to create everyday footwear balancing utility and style so everyone can enjoy it on all occasions.
